F.A.Q:

Are these positions for the whole academic year?

A: The Board Positions are generally taken for the whole academic year. For every other position (data team, competitive teams, etc.) it is possible to either apply for 6 months and/or a year.

Are these positions full time?

A: no, the ETT is the only student team that runs completely on part-time students. If you are interested in doing a full-time year, please mention this in the motivation below.

How much work do I have to invest?

A: As all positions are part time, most of our members work 6-20h/week depending on the positions they take. Board members are expected to work around 14-20 hours per week. However, as all of us follow their academic courses next to their activities in ETT, members can take some days/ week(s) off during their exam periods.

Are the positions paid?

A: The UT Student teams work on a voluntary basis, therefore all positions are not paid. There is, however, the opportunity to receive a small monetary compensation from the UT and projects from our partners for certain roles.

Is it possible to get minor ECs for joining the ETT?

A: Yes, if you are a member of the research team/ data team or want to do your thesis on esports, you can do this in collaboration with ETT. You can check with your study advisor whether this might be a possibility for you.
